Armor
All armor follows the core AxiomRPG rules (AX.C.11): Light +1 Armor, Medium +2 Armor, Heavy +3 Armor. Speed Talent Penalty applies as standard. Endurance offsets.
In the Iron Lattice, armor is frequently Song-Smithed, Technomantically integrated, or faction-marked. Wearing an org's armor in another org's territory is noticed.
Light Armor (+1 Armor Value | −1D Speed Talents)
Urban Tactical Vest | Standard (℃800)
The standard option for any character who needs protection without advertising it. Flexible ballistic panels, NTC-rated for standard-caliber rounds. No rune work, deniable.
NOTES: No special properties. Easily concealed under civilian clothing (Notice Threshold 3 to identify under heavy coat).
NVS Burn Suit | Restricted (℃5,000)
The operational field gear of the NVS Rapid-Response Merc. Designed around Human Adrenaline Surge mechanics, joints and movement panels reinforced to sustain the stress of high-intensity activity. Integrated Axiomatic stress dampeners slow Condition onset from overexertion.
NOTES: +1D to Athletics rolls made while wearing the suit (movement, vaulting, sprint). When the Human Adrenaline Surge Lineage Perk is activated while wearing the suit, the character does not take the Minor Body Condition it would otherwise impose (see AX.GIL.06.05 Lineage Perks, Adrenaline Surge side effect). Compatible with Stim-Pack injector mounts.
HIA Field-Dress | Controlled (HIA Issue)
The standard field clothing of HIA operatives. Looks like unremarkable business or casual wear. The materials are Marginal-Harmonics-treated, the garment actively resists Probability-Read and Resonance-Read attempts targeting the wearer.
NOTES: Any Probability-Read or Resonance-Read roll targeting the wearer operates at Disadvantage. The armor's value does not suppress the character's own Harmonic Tradition use.
Medium Armor (+2 Armor Value | −2D Speed Talents)
BVHI Site Hardshell | Restricted (℃4,500)
Standard BVHI site protection kit, a full hardshell rig of Song-Smithed ceramic-composite panels. The Tectonic rune-work in the panels reads incoming physical impacts and briefly stiffens the composite in response.
NOTES: On any attack that deals 5 or more Health in a single strike, the armor's Tectonic resonance reduces the damage by 2 after Armor Value is applied (minimum 0). This is a passive Song-Smith response and does not require a roll. Tectonic practitioners in the armor can also suppress an incoming Vibro-Blade's armor penetration (see Vibro-Blade).
Linden Guard Service Plate | Controlled (LGT Issue)
Full service plate for the LGT Linden Guard. The armor is Covenant-marked with the wearer's Guard credentials, any Temporal Harmonics user who scans it immediately knows who it belongs to and whether those credentials are current. This is a feature, not a flaw.
NOTES: The Covenant-marking in the armor alerts any Temporal Harmonics user within Close range when the credentials are invalid, revoked, or the wearer is incapacitated. LGT enforcement monitoring can also trigger on this signal.
NTC Logic-Shell | Restricted (℃7,500)
Full-torso hardshell with integrated Technomantic subsystem. Primarily a BVHI/NTC collaboration product. The shell's Bound-Spirit subsystem is a low-tier support intelligence; it flags incoming signal interference, highlights Logic-Virus contamination in nearby devices, and manages power-cell monitoring for integrated equipment.
NOTES: Passive: the integrated Bound-Spirit alerts the wearer when any Technomancy Tradition is used within Near range (Free Action notification; no roll required). +1D to Technical rolls made while wearing the armor for diagnosing or interacting with hardware (the subsystem provides real-time analytics). [TECH] tag: the Bound-Spirit requires a power cell per session.
Heavy Armor (+3 Armor Value | −3D Speed Talents)
BVHI Seismic Rig | Controlled (BVHI Issue)
Full exoskeletal support frame Song-Smithed for extreme-environment structural work. Deployed in tunnel operations, demolition sites, and anywhere a BVHI Seismic Engineer needs to be inside a building that is actively failing. Ground-Sense transmits through the frame without penalty.
NOTES: Negates all terrain movement penalties from rubble, liquefied ground, or active seismic events. Wearer treats Difficult Terrain as Normal. Ground-Sense rolls do not suffer the armor's penalty to Harmonic Traditions, the rig's frame conducts Tectonic signal as a design feature. Characters without Tectonic Harmonics access cannot benefit from this last property.
NVS Tactical Assault Shell | Controlled (NVS Strike Issue)
The heaviest field kit available in the NVS arsenal, a full exoskeletal assault platform issued only to dedicated strike units. The frame incorporates actuated supports that partially offset the Speed penalty through mechanical assistance.
NOTES: Reduce the Speed Talent Penalty from −3D to −2D (built-in actuators). +1D on Fortitude rolls to resist Health Conditions and Stun effects while wearing the suit. Cannot enter most civilian vehicles without modification.
